The C8 Corvette lineup continues to evolve, and new rumors suggest Chevrolet may be preparing a major shake-up for the 2027 model year. According to reports circulating from dealer meetings and industry insiders, the current E-Ray hybrid Corvette could eventually be replaced by an all-new model wearing the legendary Grand Sport name.<\/p>\n
The speculation points to two new Grand Sport variants entering the lineup. One would be a traditional naturally aspirated V8 Grand Sport, positioned between the Stingray and Z06, just as previous generations have done. The second could be an all-wheel-drive hybrid version reportedly called the Grand Sport X, combining gasoline and electric power for an estimated 720-hp, a healthy bump over the current 655-hp E-Ray.<\/p>\n
While Chevrolet has not officially confirmed these models yet, the return of the Grand Sport badge would certainly excite Corvette enthusiasts.
