While the history of 17-Mile Drive predates the automobile, it was the catalyst in a symbiotic relationship that both popularized automobiles and expanded and improved the road system. It would also, eventually, inspire the creation of the Pebble Beach Road Races and Concours d\u2019Elegance.<\/p>\n
