No Wall, 3-Screens, And So Much More!<\/h2>\n

Chevrolet is shaking things up for 2026 with a major interior redesign for the Corvette lineup\u2014including the Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1.<\/p>\n

In its place is a sleek, modern three-screen layout complemented by optional suede, leather, and carbon fiber finishes, along with a wider range of interior color options.<\/p>\n

One standout addition is the new PTM Pro (Performance Traction Management) feature, giving advanced drivers the ability to customize traction and stability control settings\u2014even allowing full disengagement without exiting PTM mode.<\/p>\n

Additional interior updates include:
\u00a0 \u00a0 A revised center console with a new grab handle
\u00a0 \u00a0 Wireless charging pad
\u00a0 \u00a0 Drive mode selector toggle
\u00a0 \u00a0 Simplified cupholders (no more retractable cover)
\u00a0 \u00a0 Optional electrochromic \u201cmagic\u201d sunroof that adjusts opacity<\/p>\n

The new digital display trio includes:
\u00a0 \u00a0A 6.6-inch touchscreen
\u00a0 \u00a0A 14.0-inch digital driver display
\u00a0 \u00a0A 12.7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen<\/p>\n

Also new for 2026 is an enhanced Performance Data Recorder, available on all models, offering track-ready insights directly from the cockpit\u2014no laptop or phone required.<\/p>\n

Joel J.\u2019s 1961 Pilot Line Big Brake, VIN 00013I\u2019d like to share a story with my fellow Corvette enthusiasts about a stroke of luck I had in finding my dream Corvette!
I still walk out to the garage 3-4 times a day just to look at her but still can\u2019t believe she\u2019s there! \u00a0Do I have your attention yet?
Here\u2019s my story . . .
I\u2019ve owned several Corvettes over the years, but none that would be considered rare or unique.
I always thought only Corvette Mike, or the power brokers were the ones who managed to unearth the truly rare finds. But boy was I in for a surprise!
Over the years I\u2019ve bought and sold a few Vettes to help defray the cost of my real passion \u2013 restoring them!
I\u2019m a construction worker by trade, and never thought I could afford to land an unusual Corvette.
But all that changed . . .
I was Corvette hunting one afternoon and made a phone call to a gentleman who owned a \u201973 Convertible. We started talking about all things Corvette, and I mentioned that the one car I had been after was a wrong-motored fuel injected 1960. He casually replied that he happened to have a fuelie Corvette in his garage! \u00a0A 1961.\u00a0
But not just any 1961\u2026but a \u201861 Fuelie. This one was equipped with the ultra-rare RPO 687, which included Heavy Duty Metallic Brakes, and Special Steering!\u00a0
One of only 233 that were built that year! Needless to say, I was intrigued. So, arrangements were made for me to come out to see it!
When I arrived, and the garage door was opened, what I saw was a \u201961 Ermine White with Red interior and hard top Corvette, covered in dust!\u00a0
It had been sitting there unregistered for over 21 years! But through the dust I saw a diamond in the rough!\u00a0
The wider steel wheels with the \u201cdog dish\u201d hubcaps were a dead giveaway to what lie underneath. A fuel injected engine, 4-speed manual transmission, heavy duty metallic brake shoes with finned drums, 4.11 Posi rearend, quick steering, and Top Tank Radiator! \u00a0The car was a radio delete, and featured some unusual pieces, that lead me to believe it could have been raced back in the day. \u00a0But it didn\u2019t look like any of the modifications had been done by previous owners. \u00a0Could they be factory?
It needed a complete restoration but was all there!
Upon inspection of the V.I.N. it was discovered that this was # 13 off the assembly line in \u201961!
I had found my dream Corvette! Lucky # 13!
