Christmas is right around the corner, Chevrolet only has two more weeks of Corvette production scheduled for 2022. Our friends at\u00a0Corvette Blogger<\/a>\u00a0ran the numbers and updated where Corvette Production currently stands.<\/p>\n

It looks like Chevrolet produced close to, or will have surpassed, 21,150 C8\u2019s. 19,500 of these are base C8\u2019s. Approximately 1,650 are 70th Anniversary Stingrays.<\/p>\n

Speaking of Stingray\u2019s 70th Anniversary package, Corvette Blogger reports that customers are buying the White Pearl Tri-Coat versions over the Carbon Flash Metallic by nearly 4 to 1.<\/p>\n

As for the 2023 Z06, the plant is continuing its ramp-up process and producing around 18-20 per day for a total of 300 Z06s. Of these 300, 36 include the 70th Anniversary package.<\/p>\n

Another interesting point is that last week was a blackout week for Plant Tours. So, there could have been something special that the plant was working on or taking a closer look at. Of course, the E-Ray Visualizer Leak brings even more attention to what is being worked on inside the plant.<\/p>\n

The plant will be closed the week of 12\/26 for its annual Christmas break.<\/p>\n

This Week\u2019s Owners\u2019 Corner<\/h2>\n

My Riverside gold 1969 427 3 x 2, four speed, side exhaust convertible. NCRS top-flight with 45,000 original miles. I personally restored every piece of this car over 18 months, and then promptly took it to an NCRS chapter meet where it got Top-flight on the first attempt.<\/p>\n
It is a complete numbers matching, born with Tri-powered car, With factory side exhaust in the one year only Riverside gold color. 400HP, M20; 3:55 gears, Which I am told was what the Chevy engineers in the day agreed was the best all-around street combination.<\/p>\n
I traced it back to the second owner who purchased it in 1971 from a Ford dealer as he was a employee at the Ford factory in Ohio. It subsequently went from him to two of his buddies who were also Ford factory employees. Finally settling with the third one for 25 years.<\/p>\n
That owner raced it occasionally, only drove it in the summers and kept the miles off. The next owner who purchased it in 2000 moved it to Phoenix and I purchased it from him on eBay.<\/p>\n
Once the vehicle was in my hands I discovered its originality and obtain the NCRS restoration guide which set me on the path to returning it to factory condition. The L88 hood was in place when the second owner purchased it and is believed to be dealer installed as it is an original factory hood.<\/p>\n
This picture above is a copy of an original 1969 Chevrolet ad, that a friend of mine who is a talented photographer and graphic artist took pictures of my car and superimposed it into that original ad.<\/p>\n
