A video purporting to show a Corvette being taken for a \u2018joyride\u2019 by a dealership in Bakersfield, California has surfaced, recorded using Valet Mode.<\/p>\n

Feels like a while since we last saw a video recorded using this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carthrottle.com\/post\/a-corvettes-data-logger-and-camera-caught-a-valet-doing-50mph-in-a-car-park\/\">now famous<\/a> C7 Chevrolet Corvette feature, isn\u2019t it? As a reminder: once enabled, Valet Mode starts recording via the Data Logger (with no audio due to legal reasons) as soon as the engine is started, the idea being you can then catch your valet in the act when they\u2019re doing something they shouldn\u2019t be.<\/p>\nThis particular Valet Mode video was originally posted on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corvetteforum.com\/forums\/c7-general-discussion\/3855861-dealer-technician-takes-2016-corvette-for-a-joy-ride-caught-on-video.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">Corvette Forum<\/a>. The uploader claims the driver is a technician from Three-Way Chevrolet Cadillac in Bakersfield, California, and as you\u2019ll see from the Data Logger footage, he blasts through several yellow lights and breaks the speed limit multiple times, at one point hitting 83mph in a residential area.<\/p>\nSpeaking about the experience on the forum, the owner said: \u201cThe dealership offered nothing more than a rude apology to make it right. GM Customer Care also would not help.
