The #4 Corvette driven by Tommy Milner and Nick Tandy has been in the shadow of the #3 Corvette driven by Jordan Taylor and Antonio Garcia most of this racing season, but they were finally able to not only finish before their teammates, but also win the race this last weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.<\/p>\n

Tommy Milner and Nick Tandy collected their first full-points victory of the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, winning the GT Le Mans (GTLM) portion of the Hyundai Monterey Sports Car Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. This also gave Milner his 18th career win and Tandy\u2019s 16th career win.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels like we have a monkey off our back a little bit with getting a full race win,\u201d Milner said following his third WeatherTech Raceway victory. \u201cWe\u2019ve had really fast Corvettes all year long, even last year with Olly (Gavin). For one reason or another, we couldn\u2019t put it together. \u2026 It feels great today to get that win.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/em> \u201cMy oh my, has the world changed. From a mid-engine Corvette to an electric automobile. I must say I enjoy driving both! This Tesla came to me via a referral from my neighbor, I spent the first weekend enjoying all the gadgetry, the performance, and amazing torque which is unlike most vehicles you will get to drive today and without any engine or exhaust sound. But what I liked most was cruising down the freeway in the semi-autonomous drive mode, which really behaved well and seemed extremely dependable! You do of course have to lay a slight feel on the steering wheel from time to time to keep it functioning, but you definitely get the sense that in the not too distant future we will not be driving ourselves behind the instrument cluster of our automobiles!! Now that\u2019s a scary thought! \u00a0<\/p>\n
