Inside the Redesigned 2026 Corvette Interior
2026 Corvette’s Redesigned Interior
No Wall, 3-Screens, And So Much More!
Chevrolet is shaking things up for 2026 with a major interior redesign for the Corvette lineup—including the Stingray, E-Ray, Z06, and ZR1.
Click the image above to view the full photo gallery and take a closer look at what’s new from every angle. You’ll quickly notice one of the biggest changes: the wall of buttons is gone. In its place is a sleek, modern three-screen layout complemented by optional suede, leather, and carbon fiber finishes, along with a wider range of interior color options.
One standout addition is the new PTM Pro (Performance Traction Management) feature, giving advanced drivers the ability to customize traction and stability control settings—even allowing full disengagement without exiting PTM mode.
Additional interior updates include:
A revised center console with a new grab handle
Wireless charging pad
Drive mode selector toggle
Simplified cupholders (no more retractable cover)
Optional electrochromic “magic” sunroof that adjusts opacity
The new digital display trio includes:
A 6.6-inch touchscreen
A 14.0-inch digital driver display
A 12.7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen
Also new for 2026 is an enhanced Performance Data Recorder, available on all models, offering track-ready insights directly from the cockpit—no laptop or phone required.
Chevy has yet to reveal full exterior images or pricing, but we’ll be sure to share updates as they come.

Peter Brock, the renowned automotive designer and author, had been captivated by cars from a young age. His fascination with design and aerodynamics led him to join General Motors in the ’50s, where he found himself at the forefront of automotive innovation. The Sting Ray project was a turning point, a canvas where he could blend artistry with engineering. The genesis of the Sting Ray wasn’t just about crafting a car; it was about challenging conventions. During the Wynn Concours, Mike met up with Peter and reminisced about the bold decisions—the split rear window, the iconic side vents, and the streamlined silhouette that made the Sting Ray instantly recognizable. As Peter went through his book with Mike, a sense of pride washed over him. The Sting Ray isn’t just a car but a legacy—a testament to innovation and the pursuit of greatness. It had left an indelible mark on automotive history, a legacy that continues to inspire generations of enthusiasts.Exclusive to Thundering Thursday readers, we’re offering Peter’s book at a low price of $40 per book plus shipping and handling of $14.85.Reserve yours today by Clicking Here.Want to share your story in our

Joel J.’s 1961 Pilot Line Big Brake, VIN 00013I’d like to share a story with my fellow Corvette enthusiasts about a stroke of luck I had in finding my dream Corvette!
I still walk out to the garage 3-4 times a day just to look at her but still can’t believe she’s there! Do I have your attention yet?
Here’s my story . . .
I’ve owned several Corvettes over the years, but none that would be considered rare or unique.
I always thought only Corvette Mike, or the power brokers were the ones who managed to unearth the truly rare finds. But boy was I in for a surprise!
Over the years I’ve bought and sold a few Vettes to help defray the cost of my real passion – restoring them!
I’m a construction worker by trade, and never thought I could afford to land an unusual Corvette.
But all that changed . . .
I was Corvette hunting one afternoon and made a phone call to a gentleman who owned a ’73 Convertible. We started talking about all things Corvette, and I mentioned that the one car I had been after was a wrong-motored fuel injected 1960. He casually replied that he happened to have a fuelie Corvette in his garage! A 1961.
But not just any 1961…but a ‘61 Fuelie. This one was equipped with the ultra-rare RPO 687, which included Heavy Duty Metallic Brakes, and Special Steering!
One of only 233 that were built that year! Needless to say, I was intrigued. So, arrangements were made for me to come out to see it!
When I arrived, and the garage door was opened, what I saw was a ’61 Ermine White with Red interior and hard top Corvette, covered in dust!
It had been sitting there unregistered for over 21 years! But through the dust I saw a diamond in the rough!
The wider steel wheels with the “dog dish” hubcaps were a dead giveaway to what lie underneath. A fuel injected engine, 4-speed manual transmission, heavy duty metallic brake shoes with finned drums, 4.11 Posi rearend, quick steering, and Top Tank Radiator! The car was a radio delete, and featured some unusual pieces, that lead me to believe it could have been raced back in the day. But it didn’t look like any of the modifications had been done by previous owners. Could they be factory?
It needed a complete restoration but was all there!
Upon inspection of the V.I.N. it was discovered that this was # 13 off the assembly line in ’61!
I had found my dream Corvette! Lucky # 13!
There’s more to the story and will be covered in part 2 coming out soon, so stay tuned to Thundering Thursday for all the details.
